what's been going on the past few months... let's see... i finished my intern year at galveston and began my 2nd year of training. it's been going well. i'm in the ICU this month, so it's a little bit scary but it's been fun so far. not much else has been going on. i have the day off tomorrow because of tropical storm edouard so maybe it will be a little bit exciting tomorrow. we'll see.

casper is as usual keeping us busy. he is our little baby!

One year ago

One year ago today, I married my soulmate -- the man who loves me unconditionally and wholly, and whom I love unconditionally and wholly. I made a vow to love him, to share my life and my future with him, in good times and in bad times. It feels like just yesterday we were standing at the altar, nervous and excited at the first step in the rest of our lives together. We are blessed to have one another and I can't wait to continue on this journey.

this weekend we will be celebrating our first wedding anniversary. i'm on call friday but post-call saturday i've got big plans for my husband! then sunday we will be joining hubb's family to celebrate our niece's 4th birthday as well AND our sis-in-law's too! wayyy too many birthdays!!! people be gettin' busy the month of july it seems! hahha.

i'm in the ER this month doing david's job (but obviously not as well as he does it of course)... our schedule here changes from nights to days so it's hard for me to get used to the schedule. to help me get through the work i daydream all the time about vacation. i can't wait. our life is so far same ol' same ol' ... our big 1 yr anniversary is coming up! yay! ok nothing else exciting going on... back to work it is.

the months are going by so quickly yet so slowly it seems! we just booked our ONE year anniversary vacation for april. we couldn't decide where to go for the longest time and we were stuck between jamaica, mexico, or nicaragua but finally settled on going to negril, jamaica! this will make it the 2nd trip to jamaica for me and the 3rd for david but we love jamaica so we want to go back! yeah mon!

we can't believe it's already been nearly a year since we got married. it seems like just yesterday!! we have been having so much fun being married and enjoying each other and building our lives together. residency has been tough and exhausting though and getting thru each day is a feat!

we are now trying to decide when to have a little one in our lives! more to come!

we had a great christmas this year, and were able to celebrate it at our new house with our family. it was stressful cuz we had just gotten back from our cruise 2 days before christmas festivities, and we had to clean, clean, clean for 2 days straight to have the house be presentable. david cleaned like a madman; i was so proud of him hahaaha. we ordered a holiday package from kroger's, which saved us b/c i didn't have any time to cook.

casper got a cute longhorn tee shirt for christmas and he loves it! well, i think we love it more than he does.

we are getting our house ready again for a housewarming party this weekend. other than that, just working, working, working. my next vacation isn't until april. it sucks being an actual adult now!
